The Dike-New Hartford high school girls basketball team completed a historic season with a 64-49 victory over Central Lyon in the Class 2A Championship game at the State Tournament Saturday.
Dike-New Hartford finishes its season 26-1.
It’s the third straight state title for the Wolverines. Next year D-NH will attempt to become just the third team all-time to win four consecutive state titles.
The Wolverine’s Payton Petersen was named the All-Tournament team captain for the third consecutive year. In three games she scored 59 points and grabbed 45 rebounds while recording three straight double doubles.
Her teammate and sister, Jadyn, was also named to the All-Tournament team.
