Cedar Falls Police are warning residents of a scam going on right now affecting small Cedar Valley businesses. They say a man is calling saying he’s a lieutenant with the police and is working on a counterfeit bill case. He then goes on to tell the business to take their cash and bring it to a business where the money is sent digitally to the individual. Cedar Falls Police officials remind you that they will not ask for the removal of money or personal information over the phone.Â
