Former Union-LaPorte City high school standout wrestler Jack Thomsen has announced that he’s transferring from South Dakota State to Northern Iowa. Thomsen made the announcement on social media.
Last year he went 11-4 at South Dakota State, competing at both 157 and 165 pounds.
Thomsen was a four-time state place winner at Union. His junior season he went 47-0 on his way to winning the 2A 138 pound title.
Thomsen will have two years of eligibility with the Panthers. His older brother Max also wrestled at UNI.
