A groundbreaking is planned for Wednesday afternoon in Waterloo to mark the official launch of the new city-owned and operated utility called Waterloo Fiber. It’s the new broadband internet utility intended to be available to every home and business in Waterloo. The service is expected to offer 10-gigabit speeds and local customer support. The groundbreaking will be held at Prairie Grove Park, at West 4th and Shaulis Road in Waterloo, at 4:00PM Wednesday.
