Cedar Falls Business and Industry Awards 2024

Coil Recognized as CF Representative Citizen

The annual Cedar Falls Business and Industry Awards Luncheon was held yesterday afternoon at the Hilton Garden Inn. The Continued Investor Award each went to Agape Therapy and UnityPoint Health. The CFU Energy Innovator Award went to the John Deere Product Engineering Center;  the North Cedar Neighborhood Association received the Quality of Life Award for their many improvements in the North Cedar area. John Newcomb is the association’s President.

The Holiday Hoopla Committee of Community Main Street received the Tourism and Entertainment Award. Community Main Street Executive Director Kim Bear praised the many talents of the committee.

The Cedar Falls Bicycle and Pedestrian Commission, along with Cedar Valley Trails and George Wyth State Park representatives received the Quality of Life Award for the improvement of trails in the park. George Wyth Park Manager Lori Eberhard talked about the long awaited completion of the trail. 

Finally, longtime volunteer and education advocate Joyce Coil was named the Representative Citizen for 2024.  Coil says she’s honored by this award.
