Area teams, individuals set to compete at boys State Golf Tournament today

The high school boys State Golf Tournament begins today for all three classes in Ames.

The Class 3A tournament is taking place at Veenker Memorial, Class 2A’s at Coldwater and Class 1A’s at Ames Golf and Country Club.

In Class 3A,

Waverly-Shell Rock is competing as a team, while Independence’s Dawson Fuelling is competing individually.

In Class 2A,

Waterloo Columbus Catholic, Grundy Center and Hudson are among the nine team field. Denver’s Creyton Buhr and Aplington-Parkersburg’s Caleb Campbell are competing individually.

The boys State Golf Tournament wraps up tomorrow.
