Waverly-Shell Rock finishes 2nd, Waterloo Columbus 4th at Boys State Golf Tournament

The 2nd round of the boys high school State Golf Tournament was canceled yesterday due to the weather. The tournament is finished and  results were determined from 1st round results. 

In Class 3A,

Waverly-Shell Rock finished second. ADM recorded finished first with a 304, while the Go-Hawks were three shots back with a 307. 

Individually, Waverly-Shell Rock’s Wesley Hubbard tied for 7th-place with a 76.

In Class 2A,

Dyersville Beckman won with a team score of 306. 

Defending state champion Grundy Center finished 3rd, just two shots off the lead with a 308. Waterloo Columbus Catholic placed 4th with a 309 and Hudson was 7th with a 320.

Individually, Grundy Center’s Preston Martens and Judd Jirovsky tied for 5th-place with a 73, five shots back. Waterloo Columbus’ Max Schuchman tied for 8th with a 74.
