Denver falls 2-0 to Nevada in 1A girls soccer State Tournament Championship

The Denver high school girls soccer team fell 2-0 to Nevada in the Class 1A State Tournament Championship match earlier today.

The Cyclones were making their first appearance in a State Championship match in school history and had never won a state tournament match before this season.

The loss snapped Denver’s 20-match winning streak to finish its season 20-3.

The Cyclones’ Grace Mullihan, Miranda Thurm and Alyssa Harberts earned spots on the 1A All-Tournament Team. All three players return next season.
