Racking up the frequent flyer miles

Use a dating app? What in someone’s profile is a deal-breaker? What the internet says…
• A list of demands.
• The words “I like having fun.” We all do.
• The words “I’m fluent in sarcasm,” or any variation of this.
• I’m a woman and guys with shirtless pics are a turn-off.
• All group photos where you really cannot tell which one is the actual person because the same people are in every photo.

And when the date runs it’s course ……
3 LITTLE WORDS THAT DESTROY RELATIONSHIPS :
• BUT — The word but, at the beginning or in the middle of the sentence, deletes whatever came before it. It’s like the backspace key. It’s a defensive tactic. Instead of ‘but,’ use ‘and’ or ‘and, at the same time.’
• NOT — Not is a downer. The more the word is used, the more negative you sound. Compare sentences: “I’m not going with you,” to “I’m staying home today.” Which sounds better? Instead of saying what isn’t, say what is.
• YOU — Using ‘you’ as the first word in a sentence is never a good idea. It sounds bossy and it pushes people away. Instead, use ‘I’ statements, as in sentences that start with an ‘I’ instead of a ‘you’.

We spoke about this later today, but I wanted to post it so you would be able to read all of the technical data that went with this impressive story –
VOYAGER 1 IS NOW 15 BILLION MILES AWAY! _  Voyager 1 continues to send data back to Earth, having recently resumed transmitting science data after a communication issue that began in November 2023 was resolved in April 2024. The spacecraft is in interstellar space, beyond the heliosphere, and remains the most distant human-made object from Earth. How far is 15 billion miles? Far. Really far. But not really. In about 300 years, Voyager 1 will reach the inner edge of the Oort Cloud, a distant region of icy bodies surrounding the solar system. It will take approximately 30,000 years to pass through this cloud. Tens of thousands of years from now, Voyager 1 will make its closest approach to Proxima Centauri, coming within about 3.5 light-years of the star. However, it will not encounter any significant objects or systems during this time.
