PET-RELATED ACCIDENTS _
There are 87,000 pet-related accidents in the US each year.
• Dogs are the culprits in nearly 90 percent of the pet-related falls.
• Walking the dog is high on the list of what people are doing when they trip over their pets and get hurt.
• Approximately 11.7 percent of injuries occur while persons were chasing cats.
• Females are twice as likely as males to be injured in a pet-related fall.
• Most injuries occur in or around the home (61.6 percent for dogs and 85.7 percent for cats).

TATTOOS ARE POPULAR _  A new survey (by Pew) finds 32 percent of Americans have at least one tattoo. In terms of the amount of ink, 11 percent of Americans have one tattoo while 22 percent have more than one. Women are more likely to have a tattoo than men — 38 percent versus 27 percent — and LGBT people were vastly more likely to have one (51 percent) than straight people (31 percent). Among those who have ink, 69 percent said that remembering or honoring someone or something is a reason they have a tattoo, 32 percent say it is to improve their appearance, and 47 percent say they are making a statement about what they believe. 24 percent say they regret getting at least one of their tattoos.

WHAT INSTANTLY MAKES A MAN ATTRACTIVE? _ In a survey, women said these things can make a man instantly attractive.
• Have a sense of humor. I don’t need to date a comedian but conversations should flow from serious to silly.
• Be kind. I want someone who’s kind to the drive-thru workers, animals, old people… and ME.
• Good grammar. There’s a reason the internet makes fun of people who can’t form a coherent sentence or can’t figure out if it’s their, they’re, or there.
• Self care matters! Shower at least once a day. Keep your nails clean. Take care of your feet and toes. Wear clothes that fit and aren’t left over from college. Dress for your age.
• Be a reader. Everywhere we look people are on their phones but when I see a guy at a park or in a bar reading a book I’m instantly interested in him and what he’s reading.
