On Wednesday night, the first of seven town hall meetings will be held by the Waterloo Community School District to educate residents on the November 5 ballot measure regarding the district’s proposed consolidated high school project. School officials say the project, which is set to be funded using the existing 1% statewide local option sales tax, would not raise property taxes to construct the $165M campus. The town hall will be held at George Washington Carver Academy at 1505 Logan Avenue in Waterloo from 5 until 6:30.
