Jeans Mean Donations at Mercy One

A special check presentation at MercyOne Waterloo Medical Center awarded the Boys & Girls Club of the Cedar Valley,
Focus on Diabetes, Kadens Kloset, Love Inc. Cedar Valley, Magical Mix Kids, and Variety – the Children’s Charity. Each
organization received a check of more than $1000.00. The money was gifted to the non-profits from MercyOne
colleagues paying $25.00 to wear jeans or their favorite scrub top or MercyOne t-shirt every Friday from July 1st
through December 31st.
MercyOne Northeast Iowa colleagues did the same in the Spring as well benefiting six other non-profits. In total, more than $13,000.00 was awarded to 12 charities in 2024. The MercyOne Cedar Falls and Waterloo Foundations received the money
from colleagues and then organized the Jeans Day Check Presentation. The Fall recipients are as follows:
• Boys & Girls Club of the Cedar Valley – To inspire and enable all young people. Boys and Girls Club changes lives.

• Focus on Diabetes – A leader in diabetic education and awareness. The organization’s core value is to fill gaps in patient care through
