Firefighters were on the scene of a fire at a Waterloo senior housing facility Thursday morning. Crews reported to Camelot Senior Apartments on Camelot Drive around 10 AM and found flames and heavy smoke coming from the building. The fire is believed to have started in a third floor apartment and firefighters were able to keep it from spreading. Waterloo Fire Rescue officials say that several people were taken by ambulance to an area hospital, but that none of the injuries appeared to be life-threatening.
