And that’s how the argument started ….

WHAT DOES YOUR PARTNER DO THAT YOU HATE BUT CAN’T TELL THEM?
• The way she pronounces the word hamburger “ham BIRD gr”.
• That she sounds like a horse when she eats a bowl of cereal.
• The sound he makes when he eats bagels. Not everything, just bagels. And he eats bagels every morning for breakfast. It’s disgusting.
• He’s a bad kisser. I tried hard to communicate and help in the beginning of the relationship, but nothing worked or stuck. It’s been a lot of years. I gave up.
THE OTHER MARCH MADNESS _ Every March, away from the basketball court, a different kind of madness begins: vasectomy season. It’s a combination of things that brings this about: For most men, personal timing and the sports calendar happen to coincide perfectly. And then there are the deals. Yep, there are snip doctors who run specials during March Madness. Some guys pull the trigger on vasectomies simply because they know they’ll be “forced” to spend some time on the couch. As one patient put it, “If you’re a guy, no one wants to do it. We’re lazy. But any excuse to sit around and watch TV works.” Although the American Urological Association has no official stats on the matter, the Cleveland Clinic once reported a 10 percent rise in the procedure during March Madness. About 500,000 vasectomies are performed annually in the U.S. and generally men start thinking about them around the first of each year and decide, conveniently, to get the procedure done just after Selection Sunday.
WHAT’S A COMPLIMENT YOU HAVE GOTTEN THAT YOU CAN NEVER FORGET? What the internet said…
• My dad told me “I’m proud of you.” It was two days before he passed, and the last thing he said to me.
• My coworker, who was older, unmarried with no kids, once told me, “If I knew I could have a had a daughter like you, maybe I would’ve had kids,” which meant a lot to me because I don’t have a great relationship with my own mother
• My dad and I do not get along at all (vastly different world views) but once a few years ago he said, “I’m really proud of you. You’re so much braver than I’ve ever been. I don’t know where you got it from.” I think about it whenever I’m feeling anxious about a big decision.
