LIFE HACKS _ From @thedailyvictorian on tiktok.
• When someone says something rude, respond: “What do you mean by that?”
• Hotels over Airbnbs. Unless you have a big group, you can get a better hotel room for the same price where you won’t have to ask a random man how his shower works.
• Say sorry when you’re wrong. It makes you look mature, it ends the fight, and it’s the right thing to do.
• People brag the most about is what they’re the most insecure about. Your friend who is constantly bragging about their finances probably doesn’t got it like they say they got it. Your friend who never shuts up about how perfect their husband is?
• Establish a waiting period for purchases over a certain amount. Like a 48 hour rule for anything over $200.
• If they didn’t respond, their silence is the response.
• If you’re falling asleep in class or a meeting, massage your earlobes to wake yourself up.
• Replace your pillowcases and dish sponges four times more frequently than you think.
• If you’re worried you’ll forget something, put your keys with it.

ANNUAL TRAMPOLINE WARNING _ With the warm weather comes an increase in trampoline injuries. Medical experts say they see a sharp increase in the number of children admitted to hospitals after falling off the bouncy backyard toys. While some accidents happen when there is no adult supervision, many occur when parents try to join in the fun — with their bouncing increasing the risk to kids. Each year, over 100,000 people in the United States are treated in emergency rooms for trampoline-related injuries. This figure includes a wide range of injuries, from minor to severe.

BAD LIFEGUARDS _ City pools are open and most of the employees are hard working and dedicated — especially the lifeguards. But some lifeguards just don’t do their job as well as they should. So as a service, we’d like to let you know how to tell when your lifeguard just isn’t up to standard:
• You know your lifeguard isn’t up to standards when he brags that his primary qualification for the job is to be used as a flotation device.
• You know your lifeguard isn’t up to standards when his sunglasses let him take a nap without anybody noticing.
• You know your lifeguard isn’t up to standards when he thinks CPR stands for “Convenient Poolside Relaxation.”
• You know your lifeguard isn’t up to standards when his idea of a rescue involves a long fishing pole and some bait.
• You know your lifeguard isn’t up to standards when he uses the megaphone to order lunch from the nearby food truck.
