Bombshell, or, revelation?

WHAT’S A SMALL BOMBSHELL YOUR THERAPIST DROPPED? _ What people shared on reddit.
• Rest is productive too.
• Your brain is there to keep you alive, not happy. You need to do things that make you happy, not just expect it from your intellect.
• 24 hours can start at any time. If you feel like you’ve messed up, instead of looking at the day as a failure, just decide it’s a new day and make this one better.
• She told me, “You are husband #4. Maybe you aren’t the problem.”

BALL OF LINT WORLD RECORD _ At the end of your work week, here’s some soft news — something that won’t stress you out. The world record for the largest ball of lint was set by Dryer Vent Wizard International in Farmington Hills, Michigan. The ball weighed 690 pounds, measured 19 feet 6 inches in circumference, and stood 4 feet 4 inches tall. This record-setting feat was achieved by collecting lint from over 9,000 different communities across the country, with contributions from 95 Dryer Vent Wizard franchises. The initiative aimed to raise awareness about the fire safety hazards associated with dryer lint buildup. After officially measuring the ball, it was set on fire to demonstrate the flammability of lint and highlight the importance of regular dryer vent maintenance.

WHY BABIES SMELL GOOD ENOUGH TO EAT _ It turns out that when a new mom says her baby is so sweet, so deliciously cute, that it is good enough to eat, she is expressing an urge linked to the survival of the species. According to a study (published in Frontiers in Psychology) the smell of a newborn triggers the same reward circuits in the brain as the ones that come from satisfying a craving for food. It’s the same feeling an addict feels from drugs. Researchers figure this has to be something moms are hardwired to feel to jumpstart maternal instincts. The researchers hypothesize that the reward circuit’s response evolved to encourage mothers to feed and protect their kids, not to really eat them.
