WEIRD LAWS:
• In Montreal, Canada, there’s a municipal regulation that says you can’t build or store a nuclear weapon within city limits.
• It’s illegal to have a dirty car in public in Abu Dhabi — and also illegal to wash them in public.
• It’s illegal to push a live moose from an airplane in Alaska.
• It’s illegal to have a sheep in the cab of your truck without a chaperone in Montana.
• In Denmark, it’s illegal to start a vehicle if there’s someone underneath it.

YOUR MAN LOVES YOU WHEN HE DOES THIS _ How do you know your man loves you? Because he’ll watch or go to a movie he has no interest in seeing starring an actor he can’t stand just to make you happy. Two-thirds of guys have done this. 27 percent of men have seen a concert starring an act they can’t stand. 60 percent of women admit to making their man go to events they don’t want to attend. 40 percent of men have made their lady do this.

YOU SHOULDN’T HANG YOUR TV OVER YOUR FIREPLACE _ It seems so logical — you want your couch facing your fireplace and your TV, and right above the mantle there’s a beautiful, wide stretch of wall. So you hang your flat-screen right above the fireplace. And you’ve just made a mistake. Aside from the fact that heat rising isn’t great for your fancy electronics, you shouldn’t hang a television above even a decorative fireplace. Experts recommend the top of the screen should be between 15-35 degrees from the horizontal plane of your eye level (aim for 15 degrees), which means a flat panel mounted above a fireplace isn’t just an eyesore, but sore muscle inducing. That means that a TV hung above the fireplace is just too high for you to watch comfortably from your couch. Find another spot for your screen where it can be closer to eye-level — and farther from the fire.

DEEP, PENETRATING ACTION! _ How many times have you heard a skin cream claim it has “deep penetrating action” Don’t believe it — it’s impossible, according to a study (University of Bath). There’s no way the nanoparticles of skin cream can carry nutrients deep under the surface, as they claim, because skin acts as a barrier, keeping nanoparticles out of the body, as well as inside the body. The so-called “penetrating action” from skin cream comes from deposits into creases and not under the surface.
