THIS IS THE BIGGEST BREAK-UP TIME OF THE YEAR _ ‘Tis the season to be dumped. This week is the week couples are/were most likely to breakup. Statisticians looked at data from social media, analyzing thousands of messages looking for signs of a break up. From their investigation, they deduced that the peak break-up periods around the holidays fall two weeks before Christmas Day. The reasons for the breakups vary. For some, the idea of spending the festive period with someone they’re having doubts about brings a wave of dread. For new couples, many decide that they don’t want to bring their new date home to meet the parents or they don’t want to meet yours. For the thrifty, some realize that they’re new partner is not worth spending on.

ARE YOU A PARKING SPACE STALKER? _ The parking lots at malls and retails stores are busier this time of year. Which means an uptick in parking space stalkers — people who follow you to your car in the hopes of snagging your space. The four main parking space strategies identified are:
• “Search & Destroy” — drivers who cruise the aisles for a space
• “Lie & Wait” — drivers who position themselves at the end of an aisle waiting for an opening
• The “See It & Take It” — a driver who simply takes the first space they see
• The “Stalker” — a driver who slowly trails behind shoppers walking through the lot, following them to their cars in hopes of grabbing their spot the moment they back out.
