2.23.26 – Area Class 4A & 3A boys basketball 1st round substate matchups

The high school boys basketball postseason begins tonight in Class 4A & 3A with 1st round substate games set to take place.

In Class 4A games involving area schools;

Waterloo West is at Mason City

Waterloo East plays at Des Moines East

and top-ranked Cedar Falls received a 1st round bye. The Tigers will play the winner of Marshalltown and Iowa City High Friday night in Cedar Falls. 

In Class 3A games involving area schools;

Waverly-Shell Rock hosts Vinton-Shellsburg.
