We are a society of rules. Written or unwritten

UNWRITTEN RULES EVERYONE SHOULD KNOW AND FOLLOW
• Don’t watch loud videos on your phone at a restaurant. Buy some earbuds.
• Don’t talk to someone on speakerphone while in public.
• If you borrow something, give it back in the same condition.
• If I show you a picture on my phone, don’t go swiping sideways.
• If someone is giving you a ride you should be ready at the door before they get there.
• Double flush if you must.
• If someone is wearing headphones they are clearly keeping to themselves, so leave them alone.
• Buy a plunger before you need a plunger.
• Always give a wave of “thank you” when someone lets you in while driving in traffic.
THIS IS WHAT IT TAKES TO THROW A GOOD PARTY _ If you’re welcoming guests into your home, a study examining the modern-day rules of hosting pinpointed the decision-making window and found that just under 20 minutes is when guests have already made up their minds. The research highlighted the importance of great snacks, food, and drinks in forming this impression — guests expect to be offered a drink in under eight minutes and a snack in under 10.
… And if food isn’t available then hosts are taking a big risk — 68 percent say an event is less successful when there isn’t food to eat.
… Guests are impressed with good music, good conversations, the type of food/snacks served, and inviting the right combination of people.
