BIRTH ORDER _ Birth order has a significant impact on your psychological makeup and attitudes toward romance. Your key to happiness in love can be easily predicted by evaluating the role you play in your family.
• The only child — The only child is somewhat likely to stray in a relationship, especially in a situation where it seems they will never get caught. The only child tends to play by the rules, but works behind the scenes to bend the rules their way.
• First-born child — Oldest children are more likely than others to marry their childhood sweethearts. They are also the more likely to stay in relationships that aren’t working and try to fix things.
• Middle child — Middle children either marry very early or late in life when they have found the perfect match. And they are great lovers. But keep in mind; middle children are the fiercest competitors.
• Youngest child — The youngest children are very low-maintenance lovers. Once in a relationship, it doesn’t take much to keep a youngest child interested. But while they may be competent lovers and affectionate spouses, don’t ever try to dominate them. Last-born children live to question authority.

WE ARE STILL HUNTER-GATHERERS _ A study found that modern humans are still experts at spotting predators and prey despite the developed world’s safe suburbs and indoor lifestyle. The research (published by the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences) revealed that humans today are hard-wired to pay attention to other people and animals much more so than non-living things, even if inanimate objects are the primary hazards for modern, urbanized folks. According to the researchers, the finding supports the idea that natural selection molded mechanisms into our ancestors’ brains that were specialized for paying attention to humans and other animals. These adaptive traits were then passed on to us.

SOUTHERN PHRASES THAT WILL HELP YOU FIT IN _ A friend of mine recently moved to El Paso, Texas. Before he left I did a little googling to see if there were some things that might help him better fit in. I found a list of Southern phrases that can help anyone should they move to the South:
• “Well, butter my butt and call me a biscuit.”
• “It’s been hotter’n a goat’s butt in a pepper patch.”
• “He fell out of the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down.”
• “It’s so dry, the trees are bribing the dogs.”
• “My cow died last night so I don’t need your bull.”
• “Don’t pee down my back and tell me it’s raining.”
• “He’s as country as corn flakes.”
• “If things get any better, I may have to hire someone to help me enjoy it.”
