Please join us for this GREAT benefit for the Cedar Valley.
From Northeast Iowa Food Bank:
“At the car show, we will be on site accepting donations for our Summer Personal Care Drive! Why Sweat the Small Stuff? Due to the pandemic, Feeding America has estimated that there are over 52,000 northeast Iowans who will struggle with food insecurity. Many of these same individuals also struggle to provide personal care items for their families, and government food assistance programs such as SNAP do not provide assistance for purchasing personal care items. No access to personal care items leads to poor hygiene, health issues among both adults and children, and damage to a family’s well-being. To help fill this gap, the Northeast Iowa Food Bank holds a Personal Care Drive every summer. We partner with local churches, organizations, and businesses to collect personal care items, such as soap, shampoo, toothbrushes, toothpaste, feminine hygiene products, and diapers. Rydell is accepting donations from now until the day of the car show and the goal is to fill up the bed of a truck in their showroom! Donated items will be distributed among over 200 local food pantries, soup kitchens, and other nonprofit agencies in 16 northeast Iowa counties.”
From Willow Run Dog Park:
“Please join us for this fun-filled day! Representatives from the Willow Run Dog Park committee will be selling baked goods in the Rydell Chevrolet showroom located at 1325 East San Marnan Dr. in Waterloo. All proceeds will go directly to the construction of the park. Thank you Rydell for your friendship and support!”
