The Iowa football team added another name to its 2024 recruiting class, picking up a commitment from Waverly-Shell Rock’s Cole Marsh as a preferred walk-on.
The 6-foot-6, 215-pound prospect was a standout quarterback for the Go-Hawks, but will transition to tight end with the Hawkeyes.
As Waverly-Shell Rock’s quarterback last season Marsh completed 58 passes for 954 yards and 10 touchdowns and ran for three TDs. The Go-Hawks compiled a 10-1 record and advanced to the Class 4A state quarterfinals.
