The high school boys basketball postseason continued last night with Substate Quarterfinals in Class 3A and 4A.
In a pair of 4A Substate Quarterfinals involving Metro teams;
Iowa City Liberty ended Waterloo West’s season, 66-51.
And Waterloo East won at Cedar Rapids Washington, 62-56.
In area 3A Substate Quarterfinals;
2nd-ranked Waverly-Shell Rock crushed Vinton-Shellsburg, 80-30.
And Hampton-Dumont edged Independence, 68-67.
