Waterloo Police continue their investigation of a body found in a wooded area in Waterloo late Monday night. Officers were called to an area off LaPorte Road behind Crossroads Mall after a mushroom hunter found a dead body inside a tent near the Capri College campus. Police confirmed the body appeared to be a man who’d been dead for some time. The body has been sent to the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Ankeny for an autopsy, and police did not confirm any preliminary cause of death.
