On Wednesday, Waterloo Schools announced Dr. Sue Alborn-Yilek as the new Interim Associate Superintendent for the 2023-24 school year. In a release sent out by Waterloo Community Schools, it stated that Dr. Alborn-Yilek holds a PhD in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from Iowa State University and has a background in E-Learning, K-12 Education, Literacy, Educational Technology and Instructional Design. She was chosen for the position after a lengthy hiring process in the spring for an Associate Superintendent turned into a search for an Interim Associate Superintendent.
