Mississippi Man Arrested in Waterloo

Suspect Wanted on Murder and Robbery Charges in 2017

U.S. Marshals along with Waterloo Police arrested a Mississippi man in Waterloo wanted on murder charges.  28-year-old Dexter White Jr. was wanted on charges of capital murder and armed robbery in connection with a 2017 shooting in Yazoo County, Mississippi.  In October, Waterloo Police detectives discovered that White was residing at a home in the area.  Members of the US Marshals Northern Iowa Fugitive Task Force and the U.S. Marshals in Mississippi coordinated a plan and on Thursday morning, they zeroed in on an address in the 400 block of East Arlington Street. White was taken into custody and transported to the Black Hawk County Jail, where he will be held until being extradited back to Mississippi.
