County Gravel Roads Getting Saturated

Snow Melt and Recent Rain Contribute to Road Conditions

Due to snow melting, the recent rainfall, and a week of warmer temperatures in the forecast, Black Hawk County’s gravel roads are becoming saturated, according to the Black Hawk County Engineer’s office. Tractor and truck drivers are being asked to haul heavy loads, including feed, seed, or livestock, in the morning hours when the roads may be somewhat frozen.
