CRAZIES EXCUSES PEOPLE USE TO AVOID WORKING OUT – On the show today, I was talking about  the need to be exercising more, this we know. And according to a survey the top reason we give for not working out is that we’re too tired. Just over six in ten of us give tiredness as the reason we don’t exercise. The survey also uncovered some offbeat excuses for not exercising. Clients of personal trainers have told them they had to cancel because:
… My cat is on fire
… My pancreas hurts
… I exercised in my dreams
… My body is allergic to sweat
You gotta love the creativity, that’s for sure!

TIPS ON HOW TO BE HAPPY — FROM 1820 _ In 1820, English writer Sydney Smith wrote a letter to his unhappy friend, Lady Morpeth. He offered his tips for how to be happy — and his suggestions are as sound now as they were over 200 years ago. (From Real Simple)
• Go into the shower — bath with a small quantity of water at a temperature low enough to give you a slight sensation of cold.
• Amusing books.
• Don’t expect too much from human life — a sorry business at the best.
• Be as much as you can in the open air without fatigue.
• Don’t be too severe upon yourself, or underrate yourself, but do yourself justice.

Here are 5 interesting facts about administrative professionals you likely didn’t know:

Fact 3

More than 22 million secretaries/administrative professionals are part of the US workforce.

Fact 4

Administrative professionals are responsible for making important purchasing decisions for their organizations – which on average are worth up to $20,000 a year.

Fact 5

Overwhelmingly their career goals are to remain in the administrative professional field – which is great news because we don’t know what we’d do without them.
