One person has died after a crash in Waterloo on Friday night. It happened at the intersection of West Airline Highway and Airport Boulevard. The crash occurred around 6 PM on Friday and involved two vehicles, a Mercury sedan driven by Jason Williams of Waterloo and a Dodge truck driven by Wade Rasmussen. Williams’ car was eastbound on Airline Highway at a high rate of speed and his car rear-ended Rasmussen’s truck. Williams was taken to UnityPoint-Allen Hospital where he later died. Rasmussen was also taken to UnityPoint Hospital for minor injuries.
