Fire Damages Cedar Falls Camper

No Injuries Were Reported

There were no injuries after a camper in Cedar Falls caught on fire Thursday afternoon. Cedar Falls Fire Chief John Zolondek says the fire began in the camper in the 2400 block of Central Avenue before spreading to the grass surrounding it. Crews responded quickly and were able to put out the flames, protecting a shed and homes in the area. Two residents were home at the time of the fire, but they were uninjured.  Fire crews are investigating the possibility that the fire was caused by improperly disposed of smoking material.
