Keokuk Woman Faces Arson Charge Tied to Waterloo House Fire

Fire Occurred on October 1st

A 38-year old Keokuk woman is facing charges of arson in connection with a Waterloo house fire last month. 38-year-old Kristen Golliher was spotted on surveillance video approaching a home in the 500 block of East 2nd Street on October 1. At the time when she approached the home, no fire was visible. When she is seen walking away, a fire was visible on camera. Golliher allegedly set fire to a trash can that spread to the home, with the house and garage sustaining major damage. She was also seen smoking a cigarette at the scene. Police say she denied starting the fire, however, a criminal complaint states otherwise.
