A Mason City man has been charged with first-degree murder in connection with a shooting in Waterloo in November 2022. On Thursday, Waterloo Police detectives arrested 23-year-old Eric Antawn Hamilton II and charged him with first-degree murder and being a felon in possession of a firearm. Police responded to the 200 block of Miriam Dr. in Waterloo on November 21, 2022 for a report of a person who had been shot. The victim, who later died, was identified as 20-year-old Kevion Anderson of Waterloo. The investigation is ongoing.
