The Cedar Falls boys basketball team advanced to the State Tournament with a 62-42 win over Waukee Northwest in a Class 4A Substate Final at the Roundhouse in Marshalltown.
The Tigers built a 30-17 lead by halftime and were ahead 45-34 going into the 4th quarter.
Anthony Galvin led a balanced Cedar Falls attack with 13 points.
The Tigers have now won nine straight games as they enter the State Tournament Quarterfinals 20-3 overall.
Cedar Falls is Class 4A’s 3-seed and will meet 6-seed Bettendorf in the Quarterfinals at 3:45 on Wednesday, March 6th.
