The Iowa Girls Coaches Association has released its All-State Basketball teams and 11 Metro & Area players were honored.
In Class 5A,
Cedar Falls’ Grace Knutson was named to the First Team. Teammate Karis Finley was selected to the Second Team and Waterloo West’s Nakia Ollivierre was named to the Third Team.
In Class 4A,
Waverly-Shell Rock’s Katelyn Eggena earned First Team honors while teammate Brenna Bodensteiner is on the Third Team.
In Class 2A,
Dike-New Hartford’s Payton and Jaydn Peterson were both named to the First Team. Dike-New Hartford’s Maryn Bixby, Grundy Center’s Ellery Luhring and Sumner-Fredericksburg’s Isabelle Elliot were named to the Second Team. Aplington-Parkersburg’s Kendal Riherd was named to the Third Team.
Dike-New Hartford’s Bruce Dall was named Class 2A’s Coach of the Year.
