One person is dead after an officer-involved shooting in Waterloo Monday afternoon. Waterloo Police were called to the 2700 block of Falls Avenue just before 3 PM for a report of shots fired. Police say the investigation into that shots fired report led to an officer-involved shooting in the 1200 block of Hartman Avenue. The officer involved in the shooting has been placed on critical incident leave. No names have been released and the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation has been called in to investigate the incident.
